Hey all. I'm preparing for an Alg 2 test tomorrow. I'm confused as to many of these concepts.
Here are sample problems I'll need to know:
1. Sate the Vertex, Focus, Directrix and Axis of Symmetry. y + 2= 3/8(x-4)^2
2. x^2/16 + (y-4)^2/36=1. State center, vertices, and foci.
3. ( x-5)^2/ 49 - (y+3)^2/25 = 1. State the center, vertices, foci, and graph.
4. x^2- 4y^2- 40y+6x+10=0. State center, vertices, and foci.
5. Find the equation of the ellipse with foci of (-10, 2) and (-2, 2) and minor axis length of 6.
If someone can solve these examples, or a example, it would be greatly appreciated! Basically, I've been sick for quite a while and missed out on quite a few lessons. :/
Thanks!
Dracos.
