I have a major algae problem in my 10 gallon tank. I have tried algae killer solution from pet stores, plecostamuses (they all kept getting killed by the guppies so I gave up on those - but they did an okay job til they died), I've fully cleaned the tank, replaced live plants and got rid of them all together.
I don't know what else to do! The tank is next to a window but the shade is always down and I don't think it's effecting it because the algae grows evenly in the tank.
Currently, I have three male guppies and a bottom feeder (I don't know the species, but he is bright blue with orange fins) and no live plants.
So am I doing something wrong? Should I replace the whole tank? Or am I not cleaning it well enough or something? I'm not a fish expert, lol, so any advice would be great.
