i am sorry brother that i was not humble with you orginally...you already know the truth but a friend showed this to me...i have shamed myself and humbly beg your forgivness...
this from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_Tipo_815

The Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 was the first Ferrari car that was fully designed and built by Enzo Ferrari. It was yellow and this still remains the original colour for Ferrari. Bound by contracts after leaving Alfa Romeo, however, Ferrari was not allowed to call this car a Ferrari. Instead he set up shop under the name AAC (Auto Avio Costruzioni), and strictly speaking the car was named AAC tipo 815. It was named this because it had an eight cylinder, 1.5 L engine. It showed promise at the Mille Miglia of 1940, with the two 815s built run by Lotario Rangoni/Enrico Nardi and Alberto Ascari/Giuseppe Minozzi, but both broke down and did not finish. Ascari's car was sold to racer Enrico Beltrachini and it reappeared after WW II, but Rangoni's was scrapped in 1958 after being passed on to Lotario's brother, Rolando. The only remaining 815 today is chassis 815/021.

No need to ask for forgiveness, instead I truly appreciate you taking the time to doubt what many were asserting and to document yourself about the matter. In my opinion this is a sign of high intelligence. Thank you again and now we can be BUDDIES again if you don't mind.
PS: thanks but it was not the case to open a thread just for this....you are cool Doc (what is your name if you don't mind me asking)
Ciao e ci vediamo!

i feel in my heart that it was necessary...i opposed you pridefully on ONE thread but it was important to me that i am HUMBLE to you so that all can see. my appology needed to be bigger than my offense

peace brother

Hey Doc, why don't you join us on some of the tracks that we go to? Let me know if you are interested and we can all get together for some tack days. We are quite a group with bikes that will range from a DD16rr to 1098R to 848 and Aprilia, Honda, MV f4 1000, Suzuki etc etc.

We will start riding in March or April depending upon weather and some of the tracks are on our way towards you neck of the woods and some other towards PA, VA, NJ and one even in Canada (Calabogie, the best).
Let me know and I will tell you more details about it!
OK, let us stop the apologies, I am very happy everything is clear and let us continue with this good thing as the forum

Ok Doc, let me know as soon as you get your Bike (hopefully before April) and we certainly welcome you to our group for some fun as well as laborious track days.

NO

just because the origanal ferrari (which was not called a ferrari) was yellow, that does not mean that ferrari's are yellow, i would bet that atleast 75% of ferrari's that are made are red

"The first ferrari was not called Ferrari"....nooooooo...it was only MADE by a guy called Enzo Ferrari.....but that does not count, right? Guys, listen, why don't we go back to talk about the "Ducati" forum? Perhaps doing that we will all go back to the original scope of this community gathering.
