Alfa Romeo 147 Ducati Corse.

OK, enough chit-chat Alfredo. At least write in English so that the others can read your childish insults. So you had 3 Alfa's then? You like them THAT much? As for the Alfa Romeo/Ducati connection...if you knew anything about the 8C Competizione you would know that it has a Ferrari engine and is built as a limited edition by Maserati. Alfa Romeo is in the process of making a strong comeback and their newest products will concentrate on performance and aesthetics. This goes hand in hand with the Ducati philosophy of their product line-up. And both Alfa and Ducati have products that cater to different customer needs, obviously. So don't get your bowels in an uproar about the 147, because the 147 GTA (ever heard of it?) is a mighty fine piece of machine that'll blow the doors off its competitors. Un caro saluto.

History is History but Alfa's are crap, no question. No one in there right mind would part with money for one. Maybe if someome else is paying. I love Italy but Alfa is nothing to shout about - Why even Fiat wins the European Car of the year just about every year, why? because the motering press are paid to do this by Fiat. So please, this is a bike site:

As I said to one of my friends who asked if I woudl buy a Alfa? I said "no I don't have a boat"...."what do you mean said the friend, what does that have to do with Car's"

" I replie dthat the only thing an Alfa is good for is an Anchor and as I said I don't have a boat"

Please back to bikes..

Easy Doug, at least we're discussing Italian machinery. Your advice to get back to bikes is desperately needed at the "Some Questions for Mr. Influx?" thread. Alfredo, though you do know how to cuss in Italian, you're probably a nice guy, so let's hang up the discussion here.

Hello my friend Sabaudia...you must be a nice guy as well so let us bury the hatchet and continue as friends; anyway, just for a clarification I was born in Italy (Venice) and lived there for 30 years; I only moved to the US 22 years ago and I am one of the ones who speak a screwed up english...my first language is Italian and I speak and write in english because of my schooling but if you heard my pronunciation you would understand much more . Anyway FRIENDS. Ci rivediamo
Alfredo

Sounds good Alfredo, I hate it when I get hit with a hatchet! Why would you leave a place as beautiful as Venice (bar the politics)? As for me, I moved to Italy in 2002 (Maranello) to work for Ferrari and Maserati, then in 2005 I moved to Fiat and Lancia (Torino) and since 2007 I'm with Alfa Romeo (Milano). I'm loving it (bar the politics) and my philosophy is why live anywhere else when there's Italy (bar the politics) and, better yet, in Italy everyday feels like Sunday (bar the politics). A presto!

Folks, Italy is one of the best palces in the world, I'll get to work on the Eurocrats - from my window I can see into teh conference roome so I can put a banner outside my window. Only troubl eis thta they only meet one in a blue moon (part number 0008735420) and take forever to make a decision.
Anyway, I proposed to my wife in Bolognia Airport - romance is not dead after all...ciao
