Don't know if this has been posted (couldn't find anything during search), personally would love one.

Accord,

Ducati's affiliation with Alfa Romeo dates back many years. I don't know the details of the relationship, but Ducati's has been running Alfa Romeo stickers on their motogp bikes since returning to motogp in '03.Ref,

Alfa Romeo is not about straight line acceleration. In Europe, Alfa markets a large product line that includes compacts, sports cars, and luxury cars. The Alfa Romeo 147 is a sporty compact 2dr hatchback diesel, which is a popular market niche in Europe. It's not gonna beat a 'Vette off the line, but if history is any indication, the 147 will handle superbly and will likely keep up with just about anything in the twisties. The Europeans measure "performance" differently than we do. Isn't that the whole point of Ducati?

I work VERY directly with Alfa Romeo and I can tell you that there are many similarities between the two marques, not least their racing heritage. And I can guarantee you that the next new products out from Alfa Romeo will strike right at the core of all performance aficionados...the first of which is the Alfa Romeo 8C, a sort of Tricolore, limited to a lucky few 500 clients. Alfa Romeo will be returning in a fury to the U.S. market in '09. We're working right now on the new babies!

Sabaudia, ma che cazzo dici!!!! Ne ho avute 3 di Alfa....how in the hell would you even compare an Alfa to ANY Ducati's? Give me a break!

Ciao Alfredo! I write this in English since you have tried to show us your admirable competence in English. I had respect for you until I just read your disgusting reply. I thought you were Italian. Any full blooded Italian knows the history of Alfa Romeo. How can you be so IGNORANT as to say that there is no connection? Do you know NOTHING about Alfa Romeo's racing history? Obviously not...very sad for someone as Italian as you. I don't need to tell you what I do at Alfa Romeo but suffice is to say that to reply to you is like speaking to a child who knows too little. Please go back and review the history of Alfa Romeo AND Ducati and I hope you will learn something. By the way Alfredo, do you know ANYTHING about the Alfa Romeo 8C or have you left your Italian roots back in Italy? Please stay "un vero Italiano. Mi raccomando!"
