Alcoholic Neuropathy

I've just been diagnosed with alcoholic neuropathy. Several areas of my body are nurab. I've been sober for one month. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might do to ease the symptoms? I've heard that certain vitamins are helpful. Thank you

My husband just had a similar (possible) diagnosis. Further tests needed. The doctor has put him on -thiamin(B1) 100mg, Vit B120500mcg, a multiviamin, and folic acid (folate) also lactulose.

just an FYI here for ya mike. there IS a wonderfully helpful neuropathy board on these H boarRAB just a scroll on down to the '"Ns". in many cases,it does not really matter just what the casue of neuropathy is or was,the treatments are generally all the same. there are some very knowledgable people down there who can help you with this. there is also a good pain management boarRAB here too. many many people suffer with neuropathy from all kinRAB of reasons. unfortunetly,i am also one of them too. good luck with this. marcia
