Is it ok to put alcohol on pimples? I heard it dries them up quick. Whats better alcohol ( 70%) or hydrogen peroxide? thanks

Alcohol is not good to put on your face! Alcohol will dry out your face, but it dries it out too much and therefore, your oil glanRAB are going to produce twice as much oil to replace what was lost. Try witchhazel. It's a really good toner and it won't dry out your face like alcohol.

No, not on the face, but on the pimple. I tried it today, and it actually dried up the pimple nicely. BUT, i put it just on the pimple, not on the bare clear skin.

Oh my gosh - don't EVER put hydrogen peroxide on your face!! I did it once and it burned my skin so bad. I had a crusty red scab for a week. It's not good. You could use alcohol if you apply it with a cotton swab to the pimple only. I agree with KimRick too - I use witch hazel as a toner and I love it. It's very gentle.

is alcohol the best thing to use on pimples? I tired it and it made my face burn and feel dry... I have hydrogen peroxide but im not sure if i should use it... so.. yea i need a bit of help..

Some people have problems with witch hazel. I was recommended it before it was discovered that I have rosacea with my acne, and WOW, witch hazel made my face solid red and swollen - for days afterwarRAB. Now I avoid witch hazel completely - which even means staying away from some "natural" products, which I am sure are great for other people, but not for me.

I use alcohol and hydrogen peroxide on pimples sometimes. I apply it just to the pimple, not all over my face. It usually helps dry it up very quick. Would not try though if you have sensitive or dry skin.

Never put alcohol on your face! It's terrible for your skin. Experts recommend face products that have NO ALCOHOL content whatsoever. Hydrogen Peroxide topical solution (3%) is GOOD for your skin. If your face can handle benzoyl peroxide it can handle hydrogen peroxide.

I know a lot of people here don't like alcohol but when I got pimples I would put rubbing alcohol on my pimples and it helped dry them out quick. Just my 2 cents
