Heh, well since I got clearance from a very nice senior member to not STFU because I'm a noob, I'm posting, hehe.
I'm sorry for your vodka/nitropiss experience, but the topic of your thread, I like. Alcohol. I've never had it. Seriously never had an alcoholic beverage aside from Nyquil (which can be a fun ride, don't get me wrong). But I've never drank. Five generations of serious alcoholics, I'm scared shitless of the stuff. I know in advance I can't/could not handle it. But you know, I've had just as much good times and bad times as everyone else that has. I've formed the idea from talking to a great many people, most of them older than myself, that it changes nothing. Not drinking just usually keeps you from stupid mistakes you can't reclaim. What people call a good time, they usually can't even remember much of, so... how is that a really good time. Almost every one of my friends drinks regularly. I seem to be having just as much fun as them. Married a gorgeous woman that drives me crazy, gave organized religion the finger a long time ago, life is good as it can get, despite the downfalls. I couldn't imagine adding alcohol in there to fuck things up (as it seems it usually does). So, now that I've babbled on about my opinion on the futility of the stuff, what do you guys think. Oh, and please don't think I'm preaching or up on my soapbox, I've never sang in the choir and I've done my share of serious fuckups, I just would like to hear from everyone what they think the benefit or pros of drinking really is? Why do so many people think they have to do it to have a fucking good time, etc? (Sorry, I'm wordy and bored). New topic here? I'll STFU now...
