Albums You Hate By Bands You Love

adore is one of their best I place it only behind Mellon Collie

i guess its a metter of personal opinion but i think you're crazy

Corgan's voice is at its peak on that album

I've never heard of that before. I'm not a big VU fan and vaguely remeraber hearing about a post- Lou reed album but that's the first time i've seen it.

The White album by The Beatles. Spare a handful of tracks, it really is just a cluster****.

Though I don't dislike it by any means, I find Revolver to be overhyped as an icon for the "album" format. I'm certainly not a stickler for the format, and I do appreciate a good cohesive one too. But the staunch "album as the only respectable musical document" preachers usually adore it, and I can't see how they can. An album that starts off with "Taxman," jumps straight into "Eleanor Rigby," waddles along to "Yellow Submarine," ploRAB along to "Got To Get You Into My Life," and caps off with "Tomorrow Never Knows" is hardly a fantastic example of album-craft. In fact, it feels like I'm listening to a far-more enjoyable version of musical potluck, compared to the **** storm that is The White album.

"Metallica" by Metallica
great album but why did it had to be such a mainstream success...?
I really like the albums afterworRAB but they really became a$$holes

I think King Of America's a fantastic album personally (Suit Of Lights is one of the best songs of all time IMO), but each to their own. GCW has it's moments (Sour Milk-Cow Blues and Room Without a Nuraber are great songs) but otherwise I really don't care for it

Do they change their sound? I didn't actually believe they were classed as prog rock, until I checked Wiki... (Wiki answers all.)

Their self title seemed like it was a good old fashioned plug in and play album. Do their other albums go more typical proggy?

Ok, when I say "done" with them...I actually mean I will still listen to their new albums. I just don't have as much hope that their next albums are going to be as masterful as OK Computer all the way to Hail to the Thief. That is ok, though, how can a band make every album amazing? Especially after 4 amazing ones? A lot of banRAB hope for 1.

I really like Metallica it's a shame that they had to put out this piece of ****. As cliche as it seems and how humiliating it is for the majority of Metallica fans to the point where they don't even want to mention this album it deserves to be mentioned. All of the songs are poorly written and talk about anger. Very little creativity, you got to give Lars props though. Instead of being the skilled drummer he is he decides to "experiment" by banging on trash cans.

TheRollingStones-VooDooLounge-front-1.jpg

Loving The Rolling Stones I'd have to say that this is by far there worst album. Nearly every track on here is filler. Very little keeps my attention I actually found myself listening to this album while working on a paper I had a full nights rest and was wide awake I put this dull, bland album on and literally fell asleep and woke with the final verse of "I'm Gonna Drive" playing. Thanks a lot Stones for making me turn in a late paper! So if anyone wants to listen to an album that is bound to bore you or want to catch up on any sleep then Voodoo Lounge is for you!

I'll actually take Endless Wire over any Who album, unless you count Meaty, Beaty as a proper "album." But then again, it probably shouldn't be credited to the Who.
