Album Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU HAVEN'T HEARD Rubber Factory?!?! WTF!?!?

Tehe, whatevers, man. I think it rocks, but maybe it's not your thing.

As for the two albums, I prefer The White Stripes as a whole but Rubber Factory is so good that it challenges anything The Stripes have ever released, IMO. If this were De Stijl this would be a lot more difficult.

Agreed, considering that early Rush were very much a hard rock band that had read a lot more Tolkien and Asimov than they really needed to. They were always a far better prog band though than a hard rock one anyway. They made the successful transition to a more pop orientated sound, through the prog transitional albums of "Permanent Waves" and "Moving Pictures" and I don`t think too many people noticed.

It's cold, the suburbs lack culture and are extremely segregated, while the city of Detroit is a barren wasteland of dirt and plight. Right now, the economy is in the shitter because of the cutbacks by the Big 3 (I always wondered if that was the Big 3 from your username). I guess it is perhaps the adversity that individuals in this area face that has promoted such a strong musical legacy...

So? I admire them too.

I admit it, I don't care how horrible the music is (which is only subjective opinion), if they're very good at what they do and they put effort into it then by default I have to have some kind of respect and appreciation for them.

I like Ok Computer and Kid A very much, don't worry I'm not just voting against an album because I dislike it. Although, even if I didn't rate Ok Computer that highly - is there anything wrong with voting for it because I prefer it?

It's close. I just listened to both, and I got the same "good but nothing special" vibe from both. I'll say TV on the Radio, because they kinda have their own unique sound, which is refreshing I suppose.
