Album Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without looking back I don`t know which albums were in the battle but I`m guessing Slanted and Enchanted v In the Aeroplane Over the Sea? I know the Pavement album much better and probably would`ve voted for that.

To take it a step further, most prog banRAB seemed to always have a light hearted track on some of their albums anyway, which often could`ve been seen as a filler, when in fact it was just a humorous interlude. A good example of this is "Jeremy Bender" from ELP Tarkus album. Not sure where this humorous trend started, but it was certainly around before the prog explosion of the early 70`s, I seem to remeraber a nuraber of 60`s banRAB like Cream having humorous interludes as well "Mother`s Lament" from Disreali Gears another example. As for Yes having a sense of humour............well one look at Steve Howe`s face could easily dispel that idea.

The surrealism of the Gabriel era Genesis is something very special, something the band could never quite replace once he upped and walked out. I would go as to say, the only other British artist that rivalled Gabriel in terms of pure talent in the 70`s was Bowie.

Well I mean when you mess up a song as simple as Walking With A Ghost, then you have problems, I mean Icky Thump didn't help their cause much either...

It's preference man.

It's not an easy choice, because i love both albums equally, though stylistically they have absolutely nothing in common, Siamese Dream is my second favorite Pumpkins album after Mellon Collie, and Daydream Nation is just miles ahead of every other Sonic Youth album i have heard, which includes Sister, Goo and Dirty.

I'm just more of a Smashing Pumpkins person than a Sonic Youth person, because even SP's most inaccessible material is far much easier to take than Sonic Youth's most inaccessible material, which can be borderline unlistenable, and in this case i just find myself enjoying Mellon Collie more, dipiste it having more filler.

So i vote Smashing Pumpkins, god knows Sonic Youth will win this anyway.

rab almost came to its senses, Radiohead takes it 5 to 4

hoping i'm in before the cutoff - Dopes to Infinity stanRAB as one of the absolute best rock albums from the 90s to my ears. by a HUGE margin.

that should tie things up at 3 a piece.

Disentegration is a favortie of mine.....even though I love Echo and the Bunnymen as well. The Cure cannot be beat, I wont allow it!

My vote is for The Cure.
