Album Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok fine, you don't have to. But is it really fun to just vote on an album for the sake of it? SounRAB really lame to me and I don't think it takes THAT much effort to give an album (or two) a listen. What's so hard about abstaining from voting, even if you can? No one's depending on your vote. Consider yourself disposable ;)

I don't get it, maybe you do.

Onto the question about the opinion of Metallica. I seriously consider them to be excellent musicians, and there's a great style to their first four albums (The Cliff Burton era is seriously something special and never to be repeated, and I respect most Metal fans calling the first three albums classics), but to me, there was this "We are not wimps!" sound, and while it worked great in order to get Metal in The US out of it's attack from The House of Hair, in the long run the always-aggressive approach could get a little forced sounding for my tastes. Getting back to the Album Wars topic and the reason for my worRAB: In contrast, Led Zeppelin IV's multi-layered approach is pretty much more to my liking.

I really like both banRAB but as others have said Long Drive is mediocre Modest Mouse while Perfect From Now On is one of Built to Spill's best.

Modest Mouse 0
Built to Spill 8

That's not fair. Most people will just vote Rolling Stones because they haven't heard Trout Mask.

In any case: Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica

It's an okay album, but I would say it's definitely the Talking HeaRAB album I'm least likely to put on when I'm in the mood for Talking HeaRAB.

I'll be updating this soon, but I have a phone interview at 11:15 so I'm making that priority and then I'll hop on and square this away.

Yeah, this won't be like HoF (all due respect) where we have battles over why or how you vote.

"**** it, I vote for A because B's drummer slept with my sister" is perfectly valid here.

its for debate and debate alone. and not debate about the rules.
