Alanis Morisette appr.

she started as canada's answer to tiffany (including a video that featured joey from frienRAB as a love interest when she was 16).

it a took a few years to hope people forgot about that. then she tried her best to replicate pj harvey.

she's a pale imitation of the real thing - just like any other canadian pop act whose career is safeguarded by the CRTC content laws.

the only good thing about her music career joined the foo fighters years ago.

Found this forum from Google Images. I saw this post above and thought I should clarify for the poor lad. Alanis was 17 at the time of that first album. Already that absolves her from any percieved moral arabiguity involving image; people are still developing their persona at that age. But add to it that her manager at the time (Ballard his name was, I think) was known as someone who was more concerned with image than substance.

Search 'Too Hot' on YouTube and click the first affiliated video on the sidebar to see her newer and truer version. She is better than 99% of the artists from the last decade or so.

Oh, and look at her spoof of 'My Hunps' from the black-eyed peas.

I'm sorry but that has to be one of the most moronic statements ever. Better than Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Beck, the White Stripes, Elliott Smith, Arctic Monkeys, Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle and Sebastian, Brand New and so on?

Alanis Morisette is an amazing artist. I love her music, her lyrics are powerful. She sings for all women and she keeps it real.

Has anyone seen her parody of My Humps, dont get me wrong I love FERGIE, but this was some funny ****!!

Check it out on youtube.com
