I'm 28 and enrolled in the 2 year program for ATC. I'm worried about my age though my instructor says I should be fine. I'll be 31 May 1st, 2012, or about 33 months. I was told to try to test for the pubic hire to get in early...but say I complete the program in spring 2012...will 10 months be long enough to her hired? I heard it takes a year on average. Is this true? And at what point do you have to be at before turning 31? Before or after training?
