you always see air force spec ops guys that have an army combat patch on there right shoulder and they like to let people know too, but I've seen that eod has people that are embedded with army units do they get a combat patch if not WTF that's not cool there in harms way just like everyone else.

A patch is only good for covering a hole. If you're in combat, and live through it, isn't that the best award you can get?

EOD's are sent in to remove explosives from an area. They are a bomb squad. TACP (tactical air control party) are pretty much airmen in the army. They are trained along with army personal and are capable of holding their own in a fight. They are a special operations unit that are sent in for specific missions. EOD doesn't need a patch just because they helped clear a bomb out of the way.

being a target doesnt qualify you for a combat patch or everyone would have one in a war zone.

just bc you have been deployed doesnt mean you HAVE to wear a combat patch. and really wearing it just takes up a blank space on your uniform. its not like you get promotion points bc you were deployed and have a combat patch
