Air Conditioning car help!!?

I have a 1996 neon and it had a really powerful AC but today when I got in the car (mind you it's about 99 degrees where I live) I let it warm up like I normally did and turned on the AC it came out but it just came out as hot air and not cool air and it had this really weird hissing noise when it did.Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it if it is broken? Does anyone have some advice what I should do?
 
hissing sound may have been freon leaking out and likely was sounds like a fitting burst or a line possibly. the onlt real way to determine is a comprehensive a/c test. they will presurize the system with a special dye and look for a leak or more. if you look under the hood with the A/C on and you dont see the compressor spinning the freon has likely gone out. if it is spinning than you could have many other problems.not all related to the A/C directly.
