Air condition problem in 2000 Ford Focus?

My aircondition broke in my car. It has a setting of 1-5 being 1 is the lowest setting the air will blow and 5 being the highest it will blow. When I first got the car in highschool 5 wouldnt work, then 4 quit and now 3 quit working and I can barely even feel 2 but its working. What do you think this might be? And how much do you think it will take to repair it. Thanks
 
it may need regasing if you never had it done the gas only last about 4 yrs it cost about 45-55 not much may be less know winters coming plus they will check it if it has a leak
 
its prob your fan switch in the dash. the knob you are discribing with the settings1-5. That switch needs to be replaced.
