AIM IM's forwarding with rogers?

so I set up my AIM to forward my IMs to my phone but for some reason I cannot reply to them.
I always get a message from rogers saying "you have mail from [email protected]. please reply with 'read' to read your message". When I reply to that message I get another message where it displays the IM, however for some reason when I reply to the IM it doesn't send it to the person.

Is there a specific number i have to reply to? or is it rogers?
