Exactly.

The OVA was about even when it came to Leon and the Knight Sabers, so the way i imagine the move would probably start off with Leon and Daley in the beginning, then shift to the Knight Sabers, then at the end it would be about even.

Leon is an essential character to the series, so i wouldnt mind if he got some screen time...

The Bubblegum Crisis OVA series is considered by many (including me) to be one of the finest anime series produced in the 1980's. It is credited as creating the anime OVA craze of the 1980's.

It's plot, action, character and music are still good for a watch today.

When compared in plot and character developement, the 2040 series is a pale imitation to the original series. Don't get me wrong, 2040 is good, on par with Bubblegum Crash, but the BGC OVA is great.

Should you look into getting the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA dvd set, get the latest version by Animego, it includes the original ending credits to the episode.

Also, in this order, of the BGC OVA universe, I commend watch after the BGC OVA, Bubblegum Crash OVA. Then the AD Police OVA 1-3 (not the new remake). Be warned, the ADP OVAs are very dark, but good.

Then the AD Police Viz Manga. And finally, track down the AD Police 25:00 manga (don't worry it's in both english and japanese), this is one of my all time favorite cyberpunk manga that offers many different points of view in the BGC OVA universe.

And if you like that, track down the three RPG Bubblegum Crisis source books and the BGC Grand Mal comic.

What he said.

Its pretty much one of my goals in life to collect as much BGC stuff as i can get a hold of. My list is:

Bubblegum Crash DVD
Animerica Vol 1 Issue 3 (With Priss on the cover)
A Kenichi Sonoda artbook (sketches and concepts from the OVA)
A Protoculture Issue with Priss on the cover
Yamato Priss Motoslave figure
Alter Sai Priss Figure
BGC Grand Mal Comic by Adam Warren

Ah, thats kinda all i got for now. Im going to Animazement this weekend, and ill pick up the OVA boxset, ADP Manga and the ADP OVA if i can find them/they sell them.

I you wanna compare Crash to the Tokyo 2040, sorry to say, but 2040 beats it out for a few reasons. First, the only REALLY good Crash Episode was Illegal Army, the second one where Priss babysits the robot the entire time is meh, but the last one... oh my god, its just... terrible. Quality, cuts, diolouge, its just bad. And like really,
Largo has to come back? Honestly?

ADP OVA is really dark, but really really good. Its basicly when Leon joins up with the ADP as a rookie, before he became the "Im all the ADP neeRAB to save the world" attiude charactor in the BGC OVA.

But, if you can get ahold of any of it, check it out. It may not look like much (and with the title as well, but the title is a good way to describe the series as a metaphor) but its an entertaining and deeply written story/plot when you get down to it...

HP has a thing where you can audition to work on the live action movie!!!

So, for those of you who want to make this THE BEST MOVIE EVAR, nows your chance...

Am I the only one who gets the impression that the HarRABuits are going to be relegated to five minutes of screen time? With all other action scenes of the Charlie's Angels veriety?

Can't obscure their actresses' faces and breasts now, can they?
