ok so i have an expanding and factorizing test tomorrow. and i've tried to figure out some ways that will get drilled into my head for remember things. These are some of them:
1. Factorizing is when you are PUTTING IN THE BRACKETS
2. Expanding is when you are TAKING OUT THE BRACKETS
3. when you are expanding something like this (x+7) (x+7) it will always have 3 parts. for example, xsquared + 14x + 49 is the answer so...
part one: xsquared
part two: 14x
part three: 49
4. when you are expanding something like this (x + 4) (x- 4) it will always have 2 parts. for example the answer is xsquared - 16.
part one: xsquared
part two: -16
ARE THESE REMINDERS CORRECT????
