*Ahem* I give you CricKet EVDO

Curious: Just as you sent me that link last night, our Cricket service (tower) lost signal for about 20 minutes.

I got anxious and did a *228 last night and still no EVDO. :(

I will try again today.

QUESTION: Do you think you need to be on the $50 plan to get the EVDO PRL?

PS: I notice now that I'm on Windows Mobile 6 that my phone no longer prompts me on its OTASP progress, nor does it offer to soft reset after OTASP is finished. Can anybody else confirm this?

The thing is, everyone here should be about helping each other. I don't know of any other of these 'clubs' anywhere on HoFo.

This exact thing has gone on over in the Alltel forum, with far different outcomes. Alltel gave access to the EvDO network to a very few people in the beginning. Great users were nice enough to pull the PRL, post it, and then everyone benefits. Alltel's new thing to limit is who can EvDO roam on Sprint. Again, great users pulled the PRL, and everyone benefits. Alltel still to this day does not send the PRL to most users, and without those kind people, many would not have the benefit.

Allowing those on this forum to share the benefit of EvDO will never be anywhere enough people to cause Cricket to blink. Do you really think there are even 1000 people who would try this? Certainly not. Cricket has about 3 million subscribers. Do you think Cricket would even notice a sub-4% amount of their subs trying EvDO, especially when I think that 1000 nuraber is very high, therefore most likely causing a lower percentage of actual use? No way, especially since most markets don't have it yet, and they would not be able to notice use that isn't being used since there is no network to try.

Unfortunately, what it comes down to is the old middle school mentality. I have it and you don't.

I am going to bow out of this thread. I usually am the first person to get mad when someone brings non-pertinent info into threaRAB, and upon further examination, I probably should not have spoken my mind. I just can't stand watching something so helpful to a few users who have the ability to do this go down the drain with middle school mentality. Theres a reason I maintain the largest compilation of PRLs. Its to help others, not to hoard them for myself. Let everyone reap the benefits of each of our individual talents, abilities, and assets (such as these PRLs).
 
You won't find it on Google. There are a few people that have it. One is me, Two is jammis, Three is smick, Four is GHInvestor (I think) and a few others. And your also going to need the specific PRL for your state which there are only a few that have EvDo on. (You see my post about which ones on the front page of this topic.)
 
Hit me up and ill send you the PRL. And yes my mogul with WM6 does the same thing during a OTASP, I just soft reset after.

Do you know for sure what Markets will have EVDO on launch? This is going to be the deciding factor for a couple of my lines to come to Cricket...
