agent smith for joker?

all in the title. rumours are warners (or whoever the studio is) is chasing hugo weaving (agent smith from the matrix) to play the joker in batman 2.
i think that he could do it really well.
 
After "seeing" Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta, I would have to agree that he could probably do a good Joker.

Though I'm not sure about doing another Batman Movie with the Joker in it.
 
I think they should do a Batman with a new villain that hasn't been seen before or expand on the Scarecrow character as he just vanished in Batman Begins at the end. Ra's al ghul's death is not certain either as there was no explanation that he died in the train crash
 
why not do another Batman film with the Joker????
this is a whole new series of films so not to do the Joker would be missing out a big character from the series!! and also they ended that first film mentioning him so not to do him would be wrong too!!

Hugo Weaving might make a good Joker but they do need somone who can pull of psychotic really well!! which i am sorry Jack Nicholson didnt pull of as well as some could!! he was good dont get me wrong i loved the 1989 Batman film!! but i just dont feel his Joker was how he has been in the comics
