...there a way to recover them? I am using a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. I originally backed up files to an external hard drive when I was using Windows Media Edition. I then installed the Windows 7 before realizing I needed my original discs for all my programs. I have since changed to Windows XP Home Edition in an attempt to recover my backup files. I now have no sound and my WiFi doesn't work either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
