After trading in my car to the Toyota car dealership, am i responsible for

any tickets that car gets? I traded in my Expedition for an Avalon at Toyota, about 5 years ago. I just recently received in the mail a ticket for the Expedition. Am i responsible??

Did you own the car when the incident occurred, and it took them five years to send it to you? Or catch up with you? If so, yes you ar responsible. The car doesn't get the ticket, the driver does.

If the ticket was for an automated thing like a red light camera or speed camera, and the infraction occurred since you traded in the car, just take proof to the court, and they'll absolve you.

It is your responsibility to insure the title gets changed over. If you don't then you are on the hook for the tickets.
