After the expulsion of Adam from the garden of Eden.How long did the Cherubim stay for?

Genesis3:24 tells of the Cherubim angel(s) being placed at the entrance to The Garden of Eden with a flaming sword. Could someone show me or tell me where I can find some thoughts on how long these Cherubim stood guard? Would it be likely that the men of the day (Noah, Enoch,etc) would have been able to see these angels guarding the paradise? And for that matter would the 'Hunter of Men' (Nimrod) have been able to see these angels?
