After surgery

I had back surgery on my LEFT L4/L5 disk - It has been 3 weeks since surgery and I am having some issues with my RIGHT lower back close to the hip and pains in my lower abdomen (ovary area) has anyone had these issues after surgery? What is it caused by? How long before it gets better or do I need treatment?:confused:

What was your diagnosis, what was your surgery type?
 
I had a ruptured disk that broke off and fragments of the ruptured disk were close to my sciatic nerve. I had outpatient L4-5 Disc Herniation with Laminotomy and Discectomy.

How long was your nerve irriated?

If 6 months, allow 6 months for nerve to heal. If 1 month, allow it 1 month to heal.

The point: its still too early for you be better. Yes, its strange that you have problems on right, but that's normal and can occur sometimes.

You need to wait a little longer (3 weeks is not long). Be patient, do not do physical work, care about your spine.

Let us know how it goes after few weeks.
