After removing Earpeice Phone is silent - help

I have a Verizon phone. It works. I put an earpiece into it. It works. I take the earpiece out, and the phone does not realize that the earpiece is out. It does not go back to making sound. Is there some button I can press to say: "You have no earpiece! Make sounds out of yourself!"

what type of phone do you have, if its an LG phone does it say Car Kit Mode?

It is an LG. Is does not say Car Kit Mode. When I try to change the volume after taking the earpiece out it it still says "earpiece volume" or something.

After a couple of days it will go back to normal but I don't know what does it.

But you do not have a bad speaker right?
example..make a call (like 611 customer service), and put it on loud speaker, can you hear it?

You need to call into technical support for them to walk thru some troubleshooting.

Sounds like maybe something shorted out whilst you were plugging in the earpiece. Could it have been the wrong size jack? Take it to verizon, they should fix it right up for you.
