Hi eveyrone im juss on here because i need ur help please.I beeen on accutane for 6 months and now i been off of it for 1 month my acne is gone but on the other hand i have blemeishes on my cheeks that reallly bother me i been told accuatne would take care of it but noo sir all lies. I know the only way to fix my problem is to do cosmetics but im so streesssed out on this waiting period. I juss wanan know how much longer do i have to wait, what will happen if i do it before six months and is there any way to speed up this waiting process. If anyone knows the answer i would reallly appreaciate ur help. Thank you

It depenRAB on what kind of peel you are going to do. If it's a light peel such as a low % glycolic or lactic acid peel, I think one month wait is OK. But if it's a strong peel like TCA, definitely wait a couple of months.

thank u water lily for ur reply but i wnana know for sure do u reall think i can go for a light peel???? and wut exactly is a tca peel and when can i go get one

You can start with a lactic acid peel which is more gentle than glycolic acid peel. I think the lactic acid starts with 30%, then 40% and 50%. You can find it on many websites and get more info there. I can't give you the link here.

TCA is Trichloroacetic Acid. It's strong because it can penetrate the epidermis, into the upper layers of the dermis. There are home TCA kits available but I wouldn't do it at home. If you have to do it look for an experienced salon or doctor.

wow thanks for the info.I juss have one worrie eveyrone has been telling me i cant do any cosmetics right after accutane they say i have to wait about 6 months.so there fore if i do a light chemical peel will get pigmentation or other bad side efects. Is it possible for u to give me a accurate wait time. AND is there any thing i can take to speed up the waiting proccess?

I suggest you ask your doctor if you have one. You can also look up more info on the web. I don't think you have to wait 6 months for everything. Like I said before the lactic acid peel is very gentle and non-irritating and won't cause pigmentation or other side effects, provided you wear a sunblock to protect skin from the sun when you go out. Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun after doing the peel.

ok so ur positvie i can do that light chemical peeel right. Im so exited and i tried searching on the web about wut to do in my situitauion but i couldnt find nothing until i came here so if u can show me that wpould be great and i live in toronto do u know any places to go there?
