After cooking sausage on the grill, I realized they seemed still a little pink

in the middle, will they make? It was sausage in the casings, we were eating them and noticed they were still pink in the middle, now I am worried we may get sick.
 
no sense in crying over spilled milk next time poke the sausages with a few holes with a fork before grilling and try cooking them al little longer on medium heat because the high heat will cook them too fast another suggestion something i like to do is cutting the sausages in half length wise this will ensure the proper grilling because it is easier to see while grilling good luck i have several recipes on ehow where you see articles,search type in my user name which is tvalle have fun
 
What kind of meat are they made from? If chicken or pork or turkey, they should be cooked until well done. If beef, cooking them to a more rare level of doneness is okay.
