...then after 2 shots he got fever? My 10 year old son has been bitten by a puppy. After 7 days of incident we took him to hospital and the Doctor advised him to undergo for 5 shots of vaccination series. My son got his 1 shot of vaccination on then he got again a 2 shot yesterday but today he has a fever and complaining for a sore throat. Is this the side effect of vaccine or a sign of rabies? About the puppy is still healthy and strong.
 
Its not going to be rabies if the dog itself doesn't have it so if that's what you're concerned about, don't be. Its possible that its a reaction to the vaccine. Just get in contact with your doctor.
 
his fever has nothing to do with the vaccination . he must be having respiratory tract infection . just give him good diets more fluid intake .gargle with salted water ,and give him aspilet.
 
Seven days after being bitten there was clearly nothing wrong with your child so I am at a loss to understand why you would then have vaccinations. His condition is in response to the vaccinations.
