Before responding, please notice the capitalized "some." I am half Black American, and two of my best friends happen to be Eritrean and Nigerian. I was acquainted with a Ghanaian girl who I no longer have contact because she pissed me off by saying "You're lucky your mom is full Native American, because if she were Black American like your dad, you'd have no culture."
This was upsetting to me at first, but I soon disregarded her ignorant statement because 1) The average person has knowledge of the African diaspora and obviously she didn't know anything about history and 2) She had no right to make judgments about Black Americans when she knew NOTHING about what our ancestors endured in the states. And yes, she knew NOTHING--she was as blind as a bat in one of our college seminars in African American history, and she was born in the STATES!
Positive feedback is greatly appreciated, no negative remarks please.
Leonel-LOL! I've seen your answers and questions before. I don't think much of you or your ridiculous answers.
