American culture in general is going down the tube fast as far morality and intelligence go. However when you look at parts of American culture more in depth.
African American culture is the most destructive and disgusting. African American culture used to be a great culture of people who did not victimize themselves but strived to be all they could be. They worked hard and tried to build lives and rise socially and economically. I am guessing that the Vietnam war and the drugs that many soldiers came home addicted to eventually polluted the African American communities and turned this around. Also I believe that all this " blame the white man" stuff really had a negative effect as well. The reason why is because the black community began rejecting anything they regarded as of the white man. Such as being smart or responsible or considerate or even civil. This is just my theory I am not saying that it is for certain the downfall, just a speculation.
However what I do know is that African American culture became immoral and ignorant. And even today it is steadily declining. Every race has it's ghetto. But most races have a minority population of people within their race that are living in the ghetto or low class.
However for African Americans most of their population is the ghetto. A small minority of African Americans are doing well. The opposite is true of most groups. Well you could argue Mexicans are in the same boat but I would disagree and say most Mexicans are working class and progressing. I feel African American are regressing.
So in conclusion I want to reject the African American culture. I do not need negative hip hop ( not all is bad but the main stream popular stuff is mostly just immoral in content ) in my life to identify with my race or to act immoral. That however does not mean I will embrace white or Asian or any other culture in response to this. I will just live my life with logical sense and morality.
