Do you guys believe that the war in AFGHANISTAN has been a success. I don't really want to bog this down with Iraq, which is a bit more complicated because people always use the "we invaded them without substantial evidence card".
I for one, believe taht Afghanistan has been a success. We pushed Al Qaeda out (probably into Pakistan, woops ), removed the corrupt Taliban from power (which we sponsored but w/e), we're introducing the idea of "women being equal",
Militarily, We've crushed the insurgents in battles. We lose men by the day, they lose men by the hour. We've opened up new schools and facilities in Afghanistan (many of which are targeted by terrorists).
As you can see, there are the pro's and con's of any argument. However i feel that we've oerall been successful in AFGHANISTAN. We've completed most of our missions, and the only one left is to stabilize the region, which could take years. What are your opinions?
