I AM TOTALLY AGAINST THIS AND WAS ASSIGNED THE AFFIRMATIVE ON THIS TOPIC

The United States federal government should substantially increase social services for persons living in poverty in the United States.

Can someone please help me come up with arguments for the affirmative?
