i'm sorry people, but affirmative action sucks. It's blatant, in your face racism and discrimination, but no sniveling weasel, whoops, sorry, congressman, which of course are always ACTING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE AND NEVER, OF COURSE, JUST DOING THINGS TO GET REELECTED wants to do anything about it. If some university gave me "points" for being white, all the civil "liberties" unions would be in an uproar! Heads would roll! But when you give someone "points" for being African-American, Hispanic, Native-American, whatever, it seems like no one cares. I do though. Why do people think discriminations is against a minority? "Affrimative Action". Psssh.
 
In San Francisco where I live The state of California abolished Af-Act but the city who leans to the left is not reconizing it. San Francisco State University teachers have sworn to not reconize it and continue giving people of color an edge.


My wife who is Asian and I (White) think its hardest on Chinese and other asians because They have to score the highest on entry levels. Whites second and Hispanics third and of course Black are hand fed through the system.

I thought this country was about making it based on your own Merrits.


Af Act doesnt just affect Schools but it effects all civil Servant positions as well. When i was in College I had the opportunity to become employed for the Postal Service which payed at that time 14 dollars an hour (1987) and had some awsome benefits like dental, medical and Government loans.

I had got there to get an application when I was told 2 things were against me in getting the Job. 1, the test was the following day and I had less then 24 hours to practice up on the test. and second That "Very few caucasions will be accepting positions this round". I asked who was going to get the majority of the jobs and she said "Female Filipinos and Female African Americans" and if any White males were going to get positions it would be military vets.

I scored 94 on the test. Well above the average. No call back. I was pissed and Realized that whites in California are treated nearly as poorly as Blacks in the south during the 60s. And if you say White people are hung in trees you need to relook at the system. Its seriouslly dangerous for a White man to walk down East 14th in East Oakland as a black man in a white part of the south.

All that has happened is the tables were turned 180 degrees.

though race relations is much better today then in 1987 I can tell you being a White, Middle class, Christian conservative in california is being the most hated person of all. Dont label me as racists, there is hypocracy in the system and I have come to believe a majority of Black Americans have not earned their place in the work force in America. Many of them are incompetent of holding higher positions but do so because of P.R. in the system. Its like these companies I have worked for will take a Black person with lesser skills then of a white or asian and give them the job so the NAACP will get off their backs. It cost the company money in legal fees as well a losing clients.

BTW.. thats not racism, I know a few well educated black people who hate the system as well and feel all their hard work is overlooked because the system is easy on blacks today. Those blacks deserve to hold such positions.
 
meh i agree totally that its bullshit and wish it was gone, but as im 50% native american ima milk the shit for all i can, namely college tuition paid in full no cost to me help on any loans i take out and so on and so forth.

I totally agree. I say milk that fucking thing to the fullest.

Im laughing that Native Americans are making billions in casinos. At this rate they will be able to buy America back.


But its weird to see so many black people in a few years time move into the most affluentual neighborhoods of California.


A mind is a terrible thing to waste unless you're white I guess.
 
I forgot to add.. Whats up with Mexican and Latino pride week in california?

"We were here first" is what mexicans say to white people.


I always respond "You stole california first". Since the Mexican president gave california to 6 Mexican Generals.


So Mewok, Pamona, chinook, mewaw, tillamook and all the other indian tribes of california were forced to be displaced while the Mexicans took controll of their land.
 
While I realize that the media tells you that the south is the racism capital of the nation it has been my experience that this phenomenon exists in fairly equal quantities in most of the states. The misconception that racism is more prevelent in the south is due to two main factors (1) That the south has a larger black population, and (2) that the black population was, until recently, the largest minority population in the country. This makes their voice louder than that of other minority groups, and rightfully so in a democracy. I therefore submit that per capita racism is no worse in the south than it is in other parts of the country. And for the record I AM wearing shoes, and do not own either a racoon skin hat or a hunting rifle. By all means though, continue with your predjudice against various geographic locations while asserting that racial predjudice is wrong. Hypocracy in it's many forms is the basis for much of what goes on in America anymore.
