We just got a brand new sheltie puppy who is 2 months old as of yesterday. We are having great success with the potty training-YAY! He hangs out in a little pen in the living room while I sleep at night and is doing great; only two #1 spots on his 2nd night with us. The problem I have is my husband works nights and sleeps days and I work days and sleep nights. The puppers has to hang out in the pen while he's sleeping and I'm at work. He hates it!! We have been ignoring him and he will eventually cry himself to sleep.
I take him for a big walk to tucker him out before I leave for work. He also has a stuffed animal for comfort in his bed. We were thinking of putting a radio near him. Does anyone have any ideas to get him to stop? Or can anyone offer past experiences so we know how long to expect this to continue? Thanks a bunch!
