Hi guys,

My friend wants to get a slider phone and she's currently split between the D600 and the D820. I've only tried out the D600 so I can't really comment on the D820. Her primary concerns are reception, build quality, and overall looks. It doesn't really make a difference to her whether the phone has a 1.3mp or 2mp camera. Which one would you recommend? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

oh, if someone can really give a DETAILED answer on RECEPTION that is great.
I work in a lab and reception is really important to me.

which phones works best?
thanks

If you are located in U.S. and your service provider is Cingular / AT&T, then you are better off buying the D820. The reason is that D820 is a quad band phone but D600 is a triband one. In some areas (mostly smaller towns) Cingular / AT&T is using 850Mhz bandwidth which is supported by D820. Hope this helps.

personally i would go for the D600 ..... it has 2 mp camera and smaller

the d820 is thinner ..... but with 1 .3 cam and i cant see any other difference !!!!!!!

d820 is pretty good.. but the ones i tested and sold lately.. the battery life seems to be pretty bad on them. could be that batch.. not sure.. but d600 hasa good screen. better than the d820 in my opinoin

Mangopango is right. They are both quad band phones. I was looking at the D600E. Go to a retail store and look at both of them. D820 is slimmer. They are both nice phones. It comes down to your personal preference.

I did a search and noticed that the D600 has problems with sending/receiving MMS with Cingular. Apparently, the pics received look so small that they are barely visible. Is there any way around this? Does the D820 have this problem as well? Thanks.
