Hello,

I took a chicken breast and some smoked haddock out of the freezer on Tuesday at 3pm ish. It went straight in the fridge and I was planning to use it last night but that didn't happen. Is it still ok to cook it now (midday Thursday) or am I likely to poison everyone?!!

Many thanks

As long as you cook it thoroughly it should be fine....give it a sniff, if it smells like it's starting to rot throw it out don't take any chances!

With fish it's not so much food posioning you would worry about it's just that it will taste bad....so with the fish I would be concerned...the chicken should be fine though. Give it the sniff test!

Even when beef is in a fridge for a while thawed, it's ok, even if it turns grey (which is the real color before they add dye, since they drain the blood out anyway)...but I digress.
