I am looking for a VAcation. Not far, I live in New Bern, Nc and need to get away just the family. I was thinking of this place. We just had a baby and I have a 20 mth old and we want to go to the waterpark and some kiddo rides if they have them for the 20mth old?. We are active Military so I believe it is free for us to get into the park. So, any advice on whether it is kid friendly for him or is it not worth it? Just to have him play in the water with his dad and ride some rides with him? If that's possible. Please I'll take any advice on where to stay also. Thanks for your help. I'll take any other suggestions also. Also, what month is better to go in, we were looking in a couple fo months or so. Aug, Sept time frame.
Advice on Busch Garden, Williamsburg, VA 2 small kiddos.?

There is a lot to do there for children and also the animal park. Sept is less crowded when the kids go back to school. They do support the military. Have fun.
The little one might still be too little for somethign like Busch Gardens, thought they have opened up the new Sesame Street area which should suit him. Don't try to do too much or judge the "success" of your vacation by how many rides you ride. Make sure to take time for the little ones to take naps and don't try to over-do it. Check out the Busch Gardens wesbite for freebies. I know they offered a free day for active duty military last year but I don't know if the new management has extended the offer to this year. I'd go in September, as late as you can make it and still have the park open. That way you'll be there after everyone is back in school. Schools start there right after Labor Day.

Busch Gardens is perfect for ANY age groups. They have a Sesame Street Land for the younger ones and it is a very nice place.
There are little water areas in "Dragon Land" (also for the younger ones) which I take my little brother to play in.
Any month is good, but around Holidays it's very crowded.
Just, on very hot days you wouldn't want to go.
