After long consideration of the facts I just can't stand the simsubbing the very poor customer service and the terrible terrible picture quality of HD. This is not a rant but merely stating the facts. I have decided to jump onto another band wagon(those of you that have read my other post in the CRTC forum know what im talking about). Im not going to drop Bell completely im thinking that I will go down to digital standard plus the free HD channels and sports 1 so I can get TSN & TSN 2 as I love my CFL. Now do I have to have sports 1 SD? I can't get a clear answer from Bell's website, but I think that you do.

If you want tsn/tsn2 min sub is basic plus SD sports 1 $8 & if you want them in HD, sports $10.
That's right tsn in HD cost you $18 month

I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but if you subscribe to "Base Numerique" ($26/mo), "Partout au Canada" ($3/mo) and your "four HD themes with US HD Timeshifting" ($10/mo) you do not need New Sports 1 (for TSN/TSN2) and New Sports 2 (for RSN).

If you do this, you lose your SD feeds of the US networks.

This solution can be as cheap as $29/month in a Bell Bundle in QC (or $34/month in ON). *does not include rental fees, equipment purchase costs, installation costs if not free, the $3/month digital service fee and taxes.

It's actually $8 for SD Sports 1 and $5 for HD Sports. Or if you only want TSNHD you can get that for $2.50 rather than the whole HD Sports theme. Not sure if the $2.50 gets you TSN2HD also.

I was talking about TSNHD. Yes, you have to get Sports 1 SD to get TSN first, but after that you can "pick'n'pay" to get TSNHD for $2.50, rather than the entire HD Sports theme.

Sorry I was told the min sub for hd was 4 for $10. I am not aware that you can purchase 1 HD theme or pic and pay.
So with pic and pay tsn hd is $10.50 pr month. If you don't want tsn2HD

If you are a french customer with "Base Numerique" you don't require New Sports 1 or New Sports 2 (or old Sports 1) to get HD Sports, More HD Sports or the TSN and RSN pick-n-pays.

I don't know who told you that...but it's not true!!!
I'm a French suscriber was working in a Quebec call center (therefore receiving most of the French client calls).
To get the sports channel in HD a French base client must, just like an English base client:suscribe to SPORTS1 or SPORTS2 (depending what channel they want) or the PICK AND PAY CHANNEL (if available) AND suscribe to the HD THEME or PICK AND PAY for that HD channel

To look at the French package: http://www.bell.ca/web/tv/fr/all_regions/pdfs/channels/french_menu.pdf

Ex Agent EV, read the most recent Infozone document on HD programming. It specifically states that French clients don't need Sports 1, but English clients do. For the summer I have arranged for my mom and dad to get "Base Numerique", "Partout au Canada", 4 HD themes (including Hd Sports and More HD Sports) and HD US timeshifting. The work order did autopackage in CSG and will downgrade my parents on their next bill from date with a new monthly rate of $42 inlcuding DSF. According to all the documentation I've read they will get both Boston and Seatle feeds of the American Nets in HD only. They really don't need the SD feeds.

This info was last updated in 2008.

Guess you haven't read my signature...

As my nic states, i'm an EX AGENT so I currently do not have acces to Info Zone and can't therefore read the information that is there.
I have a much more relaxed job mow...I work at the ticket office for Cirque du soleil (i'm on training now). People will be much more happy to talk to me now then they were when I was at Express Vu

Well im officially sim-sub free now and I can't believe it FINALLY!!! and as far as my BellTV account goes I think I will drop down to digital standard + Sports 1 and HD Sports 1 and leave it at that
