I am building a model train set that requires several buildings. As I am a college student, I cannot afford the commercial versions of these things.
I was watching the behind the scenes footage for LOTR and for their 'bigatures' they used some kind of Styrofoam or something to carve and custom make a lot of the buildings. Does anyone know what they used or where I can get some?
Or any kind of material that would help me? I don't mind carving or anything, in fact I quite like it. I need something that will allow me to basically sandpaper or carve pieces off and the paint.
Any ideas?
