I've been suffering from CFS/ME for over five years now, and I have always wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle including regular exercise. Normally, when I felt good I would push myself to do a lot, thinking I would be able to handle it, of course, I couldn't handle it and I'd relapse and feel exhausted with excruciating muscle pain for weeks after. Recently I've been interested in pacing, and I was wondering what advice there might be for me?
I was thinking of using a tredmill that I have at home for 10 minutes to start with, walking, and slowly increasing the intensity and time span. Is this a good plan? How much and how often should I increase the intensity/time span?
