advertisments do they influence you...?

the majority of people watch tv each and every day but does those flashy,catchy and fun advertisments influence us when we shop for food products. i want to know how they influence us??
 
They make me hungry and wish i had the food they're advertising, but then i forget about it when the advert finishes.
 
yes and no, sure some of the advertisement jingles get stuck in my head but i'm not getting my free credit report or switching my car insurance or running out to get a five dollar foot long.i will be considering the roaming gnome for my next vacation.some of these commercials have had the exact opposite affect on me than what the makers envisioned as i will never ever use headon or any product made by them because i hated the commercials sooo much.
