Adult women dating underage boys in cartoons

I've noticed that in a number of cartoons, you can see an attractive woman with more than platonic feelings for an underage boy.

Fairly OddParents "Five Days of Flarg": Carly

Tiny Toon Adventures "Prom-ise Her Anything": Dizzy's date

Billy & Mandy "Test of Time": Cavewoman

Dexter's Lab "Dexter Dentention": Ms. Wimple

Why is this allowed? If they had an attractive man with more than platonic feelings for an underage girl it would be creepy and the censors would make them cut it out.

I dispute the Tiny Toons example: how do you know that Mitzi was older than Dizzy? I always assumed she was just another teenager. What's wrong about that isn't a question of age, it's that Mitzi is potentially committing bestiality.

South Park put it best...older woman with younger guy = nice.

Older guy with younger girl = disgusting and sexual predator. Double standard of course, but that's how we view things.

There is another Billy And Mandy episode indicating a relationship between an older woman and an underage boy.

In "Creating Caos", there is a scene in which Billy is riding Eris like a horse.

A running gag in Jimmy Neutron is that Jimmy's friend Carl is attracted to Jimmy's mother, Judy, although Judy has never returned his affections and the 2 have never dated.

Double standards, that's all.

Male nudity = Funny; Female nudity = Sexualized and demeaning towards women
Male getting hit = Funny; Female getting hit = abusive towards women.
Older guy, younger girl = sexual predator taking advantage of an innocent girl; Older woman, younger guy = Schoolyard crush on an older woman, like a teacher or babysitter, that's seen as "cute" by other adults.

The answer to the first post is that true equallity is a pipe dream for the moment. We're all suppose to be equal, and that means sharing the ups and downs of life. But it seems if you're a white, male Christian or all of the above then you have to pay for the sins of your ancestors. Everyone else is free of the burden and responsibility. Not blaming the races or sexes for this just the ones who abuse the rights given to them.

It does kinda feel like the topic starter is soapboxing once again.

In general though, these list threads are getting way beyond redundant. How long till "Cartoons you watch with your eyes"?

There were some Saturday Morning cartoons where young boys were partnered with sexy older girls, but are just friends though.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes had the 10 year old Chad paired up with a teenage tomato girl named Tara.

Darkstalkers had a kid named Harry teamed up with an adult catwoman named Felicia.

I noticed no one mentioned Evangelion, where Shinji has a small crush on Misato, and she seems to start to feel the same way towards the end of the series.

Then they kiss, and she dies five seconds later.

Overreacting much? I've seen most of the episodes you used as examples and I didn't see anything wrong with them.
By the way, I'm a huge Dexter fan and I don't know where the hell you got the "Ms.Wimple" thing from.

Anime has the opposite problem. And a lot of anime shows have creepy old men OPENLY lusting after underage girls (even in shows aimed at young audiences). And those men are sometimes treated like heroes because of it (GTO anyone?). So I don't know why you're getting so upset about some innocent stuff you saw in some American cartoons when there's worse stuff out there.
