Adrian Chiles - The Kiss of Death to a TV show?

He was a sneering nasty crude oaf on that programme. Good riddance. I only hope it has changed from the unpleasant jeering hate-fest that it was.

I haven't watched Daybreak, and doubt I ever will.

Adrian Chiles was bad enough on Match Of The Day, he was so boring I nearly fell asleep on numerous occasions while listening to him, and his "attempts" at humour.

Agree with all those who have said this. He helped to make it a great show each week. Last night's was a disaster without him. Don't appreciate him going to I*V1 though (excuse the language).

Adrian was alright for ITV's World Cup coverage and I think he's doing okay for CL games

personally I think Daybreak should have a seperate News Hour, similar to old GMTV/TV-AM

then it could have it's magazine stuff 7-8.30am

followed by the Lorrainie 'Growler' Kelly's bit

I agree. I thought it would be much better because Dara is a good presenter usually, but it just didn't work. Adrian got the comic balance just right, and was great at pointing out the contestants' foibles, and just had that great, sardonic edge that was perfect for the show.

I thought Dara would be just as good, but was a bit disappointed with his first show last night. Usually, I like Dara as a presenter.

Well put - that's just how he excelled, in his slightly bumbling manner which worked so well. Nothing against Dara either, but the show just didn't seem to get off the ground.
