Adobe Flash Player nagging up-date pop-up never goes away. What is it?

Often, when I check my Yahoo mail, go on video sights, I constantly get this Adobe Flash Player needs to be installed to play this web page. I have Adobe Flash Player, Shockwave Plaver, Windows Media Player, and Real Player. Why does this keep asking me to up date, when I allready have Flash Playter installed?
