adobe flash cs3 templates?

i just started doing flash and i was wondering if thier was anyway you can create your own template for like a movie intro or do you have to use ones already made for you? i tried to download a few but they arent working. so i was curiouse if you can create your own from scratch and if so if anyone could find a tutorial for me that would be AMAZING! thanks for your help very appreciated
