I saw a thread saying the only way you can download free ringtones is through a data cable. If this is true. How much is the data cable and can you get it at the nextel store or online somewhere? And are there only certain models that can download the free ringtones?

to get free ringtones you must have the data cable, its pretty cheap on ebay. all models can load ringtones, they just need to be in the right format.

Right now, I have the i210. Which was givin to me for work for just DC. I am waiting right now for the i930 and may have to settle for the i860 or i836 so I can use email soon. I am splitting that with a verizon phone. That is why I am asking all of these questions, I am kinda new to nextel.
