Inspired more by the 1960s television show than by the original Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons, this series proved to be one of the more successful of the tv shows-turned-movies of the 1990s. In their usual against-the-grain fashion, the Addamses seem to delight in the possibility that they're being hoodwinked. Not even kidnapping or death threats dampen the Addams clan's joy of living (or should we say dying?). The Addams Family served as the directorial debut of cinematographer Barry Sonnenfeld.
I love the Addams Family movies- I just found both of them on ONE dvd for 10 dollars at my local Wal-Mart. It's just one disc but both movies are on it. It's awesome! There's no special features besides the movie trailers, but I'm not complaining, cuz now I have BOTH movies. Yahoo!!!
