add a Chainsaw too a bike?

OK i plan to buy a chainsaw and weld on brackets to both the bike and the chainsaw so the engine is removable. weld bars for pegs and lengthen the throttle cable. and depending on maned and speed, hydraulic breaks. but i currently don't have a chainsaw and need to know...
is a chainsaw driven by a sprocket?
if not what is it?
is its thrpttle pulled by a cable?
if not what is it?
